Ider is a surf camp in Tamraght, next to Taghazout. Your level decides your week. Our coaches and guides decide where you surf each day.

The coaches and guides

They are local surfers who work this coast every day, from Tamri in the north to Tifnit in the south. Coaching runs in English, French, Arabic and Tamazight.

Each morning they read the swell, wind and tide and pick a beach for each group. Before you paddle out, your coach names one goal for the session. At dinner, you hear where and when you surf tomorrow.

How we coach

• One group per level. Learn to Surf, Intermediate Surf and Surf Guiding each surf in their own group.
• Small groups. Max 6 surfers per coach, 5 on Intermediate Surf.
• One goal per session. Timing your pop-up, or angling along the face. You stay on one thing until it sticks.
• Straight answers on level. When you're ready for the next week, your coach tells you. If you booked a level too high, you move to the group that fits.

The house

A 5-minute walk from the beach. A long terrace where yoga starts at 17:30 and most evenings end.

A host runs the house. A small local kitchen team cooks breakfast and dinner, mostly Moroccan and mostly vegetarian, with what's in season.

Why 20 guests

We cap the house at 20. At that size every group stays small, and most nights the whole house eats dinner together.
